Grimalkyne Tribes and Missions Guide in Monster Hunter: World
Poison the neopterons to secure your lootIf you kill a Hornetaur or Vespoid with a weapon, you risk destroying its exoskeleton and losing the corpse to extract rewards. However, if you use a poison smoke bomb, you will kill the neopteron while keeping its body intact. If you need an inner wing or cuirass, this is the best way to get it.
Grab onto a winged dragon and fly high and farJust like in the game’s opening cinematic, at any time you can use your grappling hook to grab the leg of a dragon winged and fly great distances. To do this, you must press circle or B just below a dragonfly that flies close to the ground. You can also stun any Draco Winged by shooting a stone with the sling to make it throw away so you can grab onto its leg.
Make a fortune selling seeds of powerMore than a trick, it is a technique rooted in the Monster Hunter series since time immemorial. We already echoed this in the guide to making a lot of money Monster Hunter World : Get big shots of zenis selling seeds of power. They can be grown in the botanical garden from a very early stage in the game, and it is easy to multiply their production. Each seed sells for 140z, so after just a few missions you can amass large amounts of money effortlessly.
Get additional attack and defense with charms and clawsOf course, you want to maximize your attack and defense to hunt your best. To do this, you will create high-ranking pieces, improve them, and take various additional bonuses with skills, seeds of power or armor, songs of the hunting horn or of the Felynes, and so on.
However, it is possible to exceed these limits by carrying certain items in your bag. If you’re willing to cut yourself a ton of money and four inventory slots, you can buy a Power Charm and an Armor Charm from the Astera Merchant. Combine each of them with a Bazelgeuse Claw and you will get a Power Claw and an Armor Claw, giving even better results. Then buy and bag another Power Charm and Armor Charm – you can stack their effects!
No, the Poogie does not give you luckOne of the most popular urban legends of Monster Hunter is that completing the mini-game of petting the pig (Poogie) in Astera guarantees you better rewards for completing a mission. If you see any of this on the internet, don’t believe it: it doesn’t affect the odds of anything at all. Although we are not going to deny that it is very funny and we want to caress it anyway.
Equip two capes after completing the gameAfter hunting down the High Rank Final Boss (RC15), you can equip two Cloaks at the same time, or a Cloak and a Buff, or two Buffs. Don’t forget to do it from the toolbox!
Kelbi hornsAs you can see from the list of combinations, the best potions in the game (ancient potion) are made with Kelbi horns. In the past, it was necessary to stun the males of this innocent herbivorous species to catch them while they were on the ground, but in World it is much easier: they are obtained from both males and females, dead or alive; and it is possible to start them directly by shooting them with a hunting net. You will save a lot of time, without a doubt.
Territorial fightsBig monsters often get on badly with each other, and if one accidentally hurts another, they will fight. You may have seen it in the trailers, but certain monsters have pre-programmed fight sequences with each other that lead to heavy damage for one of them (or even both). Thus, for example, the Anjanath does great damage to the Great Jagras if they are in the Ancient Forest; the Odogaron beats the Radobaan in the Rotten Valley and the Barroth deals equal damage when fighting the Jyuratodus in the Needle Wasteland. Among others. The idea is that if you see two big angry monsters, let them fight each other. They will hurt each other, and sometimes you will be able to see this spectacular sequence.
See the monsters you have captured in AsteraIf you catch a monster alive, you can see it sleeping in Astera after completing the mission. The ecological laboratory will be found on a special platform on the left, at the entrance to the city.
Day cycles and weather conditionsMonster Hunter has always flirted with day and night cycles, although in World we can also see different weather conditions. Go hunting in a sandstorm? It’s possible. And, as is evident, it affects endemic fauna: some creatures only appear in certain climatic conditions. You can see all of the gameplay and clues to its location in our Monster Hunter World collectible creatures guide .
Customize the interfaceThe World interface may not live up to everyone’s expectations, and playing online is definitely not as easy as it sounds. However, it does provide us with many changes to customize our bag and equipment with ease.
For example, if you want something from the blacksmith but don’t have the materials you need yet, you can put them on a wish list and see directly how those materials are obtained. The game will notify you as you receive them so that you do not forget to go create what you wanted when you are ready. It is also possible to organize sets of equipment from the trunk of objects, to get dressed in a hurry and be ready for the mission that you are going to do. The radial menu and the item bar layout can also be arranged to your liking, and you can select and deselect the items you want to create automatically.
