The year 2021 begins and Chinese manufacturers like Realme do not think twice about continuing to add mobile phones to their catalog. On this occasion, the launch of the Realme V15 5G , another mid-range terminal with 5G and, even more interesting, the new Dimensity 800U chip and 50-watt fast charge takes place.
Let’s meet the Realme V15 5G : Realme V15 5G, another mid-range with 5G that you will want to have
We’ll start with the daring design of the Realme V15 5G; separately placed camera sensors give this phone a look from the OPPO Reno series, and the orange (Koi) color with blue and gold highlights gives it a rather eye-catching look (also available in gray and blue). Also, the company slogan “Dare To Leap” adds personality to the device.
On the front, the device flaunts a 6.4-inch FullHD + (2,400 x 1,080) AMOLED display with a single hole in the upper left corner for a 16MP selfie camera. The panel doesn’t support any high refresh rate, but it does come with a 180Hz touch sample rate, 600nits brightness, and a built-in fingerprint reader.
Sadly, the phone doesn’t have a microSD card slot or a 3.5mm headphone jack, but it is certified for Hi-Res Audio.
Hardware and Features
The V15 Lindahl 5G is driven by the chipset MediaTek Dimensity 800U of 7nm paired with 6GB RAM and internal storage LPDDR4X UFS 2.1 128GB. Alternatively, there is a variant with 8GB of RAM, but the same amount of ROM, so it’s probably not worth paying the extra price for this one.
The device is powered by a 4,310mAh battery with impressive 50W fast charge support. The manufacturer promises that the terminal can be charged to 50% in 18 minutes, something commendable for its price.
In another vein, the operating system of the day is Android 10, but the user interface is provided by Realme UI 2.0 . When it comes to connectivity, the Realme V15 5G boasts 5G network support, but it also features dual-band ac WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS.
Three cameras back and one forward
In the photographic department the Realme V15 5G holds up quite well, housing a triple camera setup consisting of a 64MP primary sensor with a wide angle lens (80.7 °), an 8MP secondary sensor with an ultra wide angle lens. (119 °) and a 2MP tertiary sensor with a 4cm macro lens. For its part, the selfie sensor is 16MP with a 78 ° field of view and f / 2.5 aperture.
Before concluding, it should be noted that the main camera uses pixel binning technology to combine four pixels into one, thus producing 16MP photos.
Availability and price of the Realme V15 5G
The Realme V15 5G is priced at ¥ 1,399 (€ 189 exchange rate) for the base 6GB RAM variant , while the 8GB variant costs ¥ 1,999 (€ 251 exchange rate) in China. The device will be on sale for the first time on January 14.
There is still no information that points to an international launch, so we will have to wait to see what happens.
