Huawei has started 2020 with the launch of an economic version of the Y6 line, which has been dubbed Huawei Y6s, a mid-range entry-level mobile whose arrival in Spain and Europe has just been confirmed by the communication department of the Chinese company. Surprisingly, the Huawei Y6s is in the company’s batch of mobiles that still have all Google services under the Android 9 Pie operating system.

We are facing a mobile that is fully positioned in the mid-range entry and, therefore, its specifications are in line with what one would expect from a terminal with a price between 150-200 euros. Going into details, the Huawei Y6s has a 6.09-inch screen with IPS LCD technology and HD + resolution (1,560 x 720 pixels) . It has a 19.5: 9 aspect ratio as a result of its “Dew Display” design, a sophisticated way of saying that it has a notch in the shape of a drop of water.
In another vein, the Huawei Y6s exhibits a typical plastic construction for the rear cover, where it houses a single rear camera and a fingerprint sensor in the center. It will be available in two colors: black and blue.
Regarding its physical interfaces, this mobile has a 3.5mm audio jack and a traditional MicroUSB 2.0 port for charging and data transfer.
Features and specs
Under the hood it houses an eight-core MediaTek MT6765 processor, which is accompanied by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage . Unfortunately the version with 64GB of ROM is not officially available for Europe, but this fact can be compensated with the support for Micro-SD cards up to 512GB. Lastly, it is powered by a 3,020mAh battery.
As mentioned above, the Huawei Y6s has all Google services and runs on Android 9 Pie operating system and EMUI 9.1 user interface , making it a fully functional Android phone.
In the area of wireless connectivity, it consists of 4G LTE network support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS / AGPS and Glonass. Unfortunately the European version of the Y6 leaves out the NFC connectivity .
In the photographic department, the Huawei Y6s is equipped with a unique 13MP rear camera with f / 1.8 aperture , LED flash and artificial intelligence to improve shots. Also, the selfie camera that is housed in the notch has a resolution of 8MP and a focal aperture f / 2.0.
Availability and price of the Huawei Y6s
The Huawei Y6s is now available for purchase in Spain through the channels authorized by Huawei. This has a suggested retail price of 159 euros and can be found in a single memory configuration.
