“The chances of creating it are not zero,” say the creatives at Square Enix.

There are as many Final Fantasy favorites as there are players in the world. Each fan of the saga has his fetish title , that installment -and spinoffs- that he puts before the others, although it is undeniable that Final Fantasy X is usually among the favorites of many players. A universe to which Kazushige Nojima, Motomu Toriyama and Tetsuya Nomura would want to return one day with that Final Fantasy X-3 that never materializes. This is what the creator of Kingdom Hearts himself says in the latest issue of Famitsu.

” But first we have to finish the Final Fantasy 7 remake before talking about it.” In other words, it seems that Final Fantasy X-3 is little more than an idea on paper for the creators of the original, but the desire to create it is there . “There was a time when I was working with people who told me that they entered the industry after playing FF7,” says Nojima . “Now that stage has passed, and I am working with people who claim to have entered after playing FFX .”

It should be noted that this is not the first time that the creatives of the saga show their desire to develop a Final Fantasy X-3. As early as December 2013, Nojima himself stated that he would love to create this installment, although Square Enix made it clear a few months later that there is no Final Fantasy X-3 in development . On the history of this possible game, and although Nojima has only written a general outline of it, Nomura anticipates that it starts from the same scenario as FFX Will and the novel FFX 2.5 . Of course, all this will have to wait for the development of Final Fantasy VII Remake 2 to finish , and the parts that come afterwards.
