RWBY: Arrowfell, the new game in Rooster Teeth’s popular series announced for 2022
It will be available on multiple platforms with WayForward in charge of development, creators of Shantae.)
During RTX At Home 2021 , the Rooster Teeth company’s annual event , the next title from their famous girl quartet was announced: RWBY: Arrowfell . The animated series RWBY has already been represented in some video games , and its next project is scheduled to be published next year, in 2022 .
The title will feature original characters.WayForward , the studio behind the Shantae saga and the upcoming remake of Advance Wars 1 and 2 , will be responsible for development for RWBY: Arrowfell. Arc System Works (Guilty Gear Strive, Dragon Ball FighterZ) will be the company in charge of its publication.
RWBY: Arrowfell will be a 2D action-platformer , and its story will be set in volume 7 of the RWBY series. The script will be 100% canon , and is produced by RWBY writers: Kerry Shawcross , Miles Luna, and Eddy Rivas .
As in the game RWBY: Grimm Eclipse , in Arrowfell we can control the four girls of the RWBY team: Ruby Rose , Weiss Schnee , Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiao Long . The player can only control one member at a time, but the title will allow us to switch between the 4 characters in an instant. There will also be a cooperative modality , both locally and online .
To connect even better with the series, Rooster Teeth prepared more than seven minutes of animated sequences in the game, identical to the work seen in the chapters of the most recent volumes of RWBY. The title will also feature some completely new characters .
RWBY: Arrowfell is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PC, and Nintendo Switch in 2022 .
