CARD DOOR DESIGN FOR FATHER’S DAY
This year Viola decided that in addition to the chore she will do at school for Father’s Day, she would give her dad a “nice drawing”. CARD DOOR DESIGN FOR FATHER’S DAY
So we went to work to try to create a worthy “cover” for the masterpiece she created, a portrait in “mixed technique” collage, drawing with applications of glitter in relief that she adores and would put anywhere.
The cover card had to have some very specific characteristics, many hearts, balloons and stamps had to be used.
The girl has clear ideas, but her projects are often difficult to carry out considering that we do them in the evening when we return home and we have to use what we have?
However, having made a quick inventory, we were able to find what we need.
200 gram bristol cardboard in two different shades (we used a white and a beige
sheet ) Various colored 80gr sheets we used 7 different colors
Scissors
Glue stick
A gold-colored acrylic
A roll of toilet paper cardboard
Colored pens drawn pen
We started by folding the beige card sheet in half and cutting out of the white one a piece that was slightly smaller than either side of the beige card.
At this point, trying to leave edges of equal size, we glued the white card on the external side of the beige card.
We dedicated ourselves to drawing and then cutting out 7 hearts of different colors from the sheets of colored paper in our possession and we glued them by overlapping them slightly on top of each other on the white card.
At this point they had the look of balloons in flight, to make the idea better we drew some colored threads.
Made the cover, we decorated the inside, using the cardboard roll of toilet paper we folded it to form a sort of heart…. dipping it in the gold colored acrylic color we made our stamp.
Has Viola stamped the upper part of the inner right facade, leaving space for his signature underneath?
On the left façade, however, he glued his masterpiece
