Budget to travel to Paris

It is better to plan your expenses before embarking on a trip to Paris!
If you really want to go to Paris during your vacation, you will have to plan a very specific budget. In fact, as a capital, Paris is not the cheapest city in the world: the prices are even more expensive than in Madrid . Find out how much money you need to plan your trip to Paris !

Travel and accommodation: Budget to travel to Paris

You have several transport options to get to Paris from Spain. The first is the plane, the fastest, which will take you directly to the Paris airport. The prices are quite affordable; You will surely find flights for around € 50-60 round trip (although it may vary depending on the airline).
Another possibility is the train , but we do not recommend it especially. It takes many hours to arrive, the prices are higher than those of the plane and having to change depending on the city of departure makes this means of transport an inconvenient option to get to Paris.
The last option is to go by car , which gives you the advantage of taking a route through other areas of France until you reach Paris and having your own vehicle to move around the capital.
As for accommodation in Paris , you can choose between youth hostels (from € 20 per night), sometimes well-located Airbnb accommodation (from € 60) or hotels (between € 40 and € 125 the most basic). The best hotels will cost you over € 200 per night, but it’s worth it if you can afford it.

Food and tourist attractions

In general, the price of restaurants in Paris is 14% more expensive than in Spain . If you plan to eat in a restaurant with a menu, it will cost you around € 16. On the other hand, if you make a three-course dinner in a restaurant in Paris, you will pay between € 30 and € 50 per person.
You can also prepare the food yourself by going to the supermarket, although you should bear in mind that it is 18% more expensive  than in Spain.
To get around Paris , we advise you to opt for the metro or the bus, whose tickets cost € 1.90, although there is also a 10-journey ticket for € 14.90. Keep in mind that taxis are more expensive than in Spain, as is renting a car, although the price of gasoline is more or less the same as in Spain. It’s up to you!
As for tourist activities , you have many options to visit, between the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum, the Sacré Cœur Basilica or the Musée d’Orsay. Most of the attractions are paid, but there are cheaper rates for students, retirees and children or even free entry if you are under 26 years old, for example.
