    What are the computer shortcut keys? Looking for an introduction to Windows shortcut keys?

    1. Common usage: Computer shortcut keys

    F1 displays the help content of the current program or windows. 

    F2 When you select a file, it means “rename” 

    F3 opens the “Find: All Files” dialog box when you are on the desktop 

    F10 or ALT activates the menu bar of the current program 

    windows key or CTRL+ESC to open the start menu 

    CTRL+ALT+DELETE Open and close the program dialog box in win9x 

    DELETE Delete the selected item, if it is a file, it will be put into the recycle bin 

    SHIFT+DELETE Delete the selected item, if it is a file, it will be deleted directly instead of being put into the recycle bin 

    CTRL+N Create a new file 

    CTRL+O Open the “Open File” dialog 

    CTRL+P Open the “Print” dialog box 

    CTRL+S save the current operation file 

    CTRL+X Cut the selected item to the clipboard 

    CTRL+INSERT or CTRL+C copy the selected item to the clipboard 

    SHIFT+INSERT or CTRL+V Paste the contents of the clipboard to the current position 

    ALT+BACKSPACE or CTRL+Z undo the operation of the previous step 

    ALT+SHIFT+BACKSPACE redo the operation that was undone in the previous step 

    Windows key+M minimizes all open windows. 

    Windows key+CTRL+M will restore the size and position of the window before the last operation 

    Windows key + E to open the Explorer 

    Windows key + F to open the “Find: All Files” dialog box 

    Windows key + R to open the “Run” dialog box 

    Windows key+BREAK Open the “System Properties” dialog box 

    Windows key+CTRL+F Open the “Find: Computer” dialog box 

    SHIFT+F10 or right-click to open the shortcut menu of the currently active project 

    Press and hold SHIFT when inserting the CD, you can skip the auto-playing of the CD. Press and hold while opening the word, you can skip the auto-started macro 

    ALT+F4 Close the current application 

    ALT+SPACEBAR Open the menu in the upper left corner of the program 

    ALT+TAB switch current program 

    ALT+ESC switch current program 

    ALT+ENTER Switch the MSDOS window running under windows between window and full screen state 

    PRINT SCREEN Copy the current screen to the clipboard as an image 

    ALT+PRINT SCREEN Copy the currently active program window to the clipboard as an image 

    CTRL+F4 Close the current text in the current application (such as in Word) 

    CTRL+F6 Switch to the next text in the current application (you can jump to the previous window by adding shift)

    ALT+RIGHT ARROW display the previous page (forward key) 

    ALT+LEFT ARROW display the next page (back key) 

    CTRL+TAB Switch between frames on the page (plus shift to reverse) 

    F5 refresh

    2. Use the computer shortcut keys of “Windows Explorer” 

      Purpose shortcut 

      If the current selection is expanded, fold 

      Stack or select parent folder left arrow 

      Collapse the selected folder NUM LOCK+minus sign (-) 

      If the current selection is collapsed, to expand 

      Or select the right arrow of the first subfolder 

      Expand all folders under the current selection NUM LOCK+* 

      Expand the selected folder NUM LOCK+plus sign (+) 

      Toggle F6 between the left and right panes 

    3 use the WINDOWS key 

      You can use the following shortcut keys of the Microsoft Natural Keyboard or any other compatible keyboard that contains the Windows logo key. 

      Purpose shortcut 

      Cycle through the buttons on the taskbar WINDOWS+ TAB 

      Display “Find: All Files” WINDOWS+ F 

      Display “Find: Computer” CTRL+ WINDOWS+ F 

      Show “Help” WINDOWS+ F1 

      Show “Run” command WINDOWS+ R 

      Show “Start” menu WINDOWS 

      Display the “System Properties” dialog box WINDOWS+ BREAK 

      Display “Windows Explorer” WINDOWS+ E 

      Minimize or restore all windows WINDOWS+ D 

      Undo minimize all windows SHIFT+ WINDOWS+ M 

    4. Use the computer shortcut keys of “My Computer” and “Windows Explorer” 

      Purpose shortcut 

      Close the selected folder and all its parents 

      Hold down the SHIFT key and click the “Close button” for the folder (only applicable to “My Computer”) 

      Move back to the previous view ALT+Left Arrow 

      Move forward to the previous view ALT+right arrow 

      View the previous folder BACKSPACE 

    5, use the computer shortcut keys in the dialog box 

      Purpose shortcut 

      Cancel the current task ESC 

      If the current control is a button, 

      Click this button or if the current control 

      The file is a check box, to be selected or cleared 

      Remove the check box or if the current control 

      The file is an option button, to click the 

      Option space bar 

      Click the corresponding command ALT+underlined letter 

      Click the selected button ENTER 

      Move backward on the option SHIFT + TAB 

      Move backward on the tab CTRL+ SHIFT+ TAB 

      Move TAB forward on the option 

      Move forward on the tab CTRL+ TAB 

      If you are in “Save As” or “Open” 

      A folder is selected in the dialog box, 

      To open the upper level folder BACKSPACE 

      In the “Save As” or “Open” pair 

      Open “Save to” in the dialog box or 

      “View” F4 

      Refresh “Save As” or “Open” 

      Dialog F5 

    6. Use “Desktop”, “My Computer” and “Windows Explorer” shortcut keys 

      When selecting an item, you can use the following shortcut keys. 

      Purpose shortcut 

      Do not use “autoplay” when inserting a disc 

      Function Hold down SHIFT and insert the CD-ROM 

      Copy files hold CTRL and drag files 

      To create a shortcut, hold down CTRL+SHIFT and drag the file 

      Delete an item immediately without putting it in SHIFT+DELETE 

      “Recycle Bin” 

      Display “Find: All Files” F3 

      Display the shortcut menu of the project APPLICATION key 

      Refresh the contents of the window F5 

      Rename project F2 

      Select all items CTRL+ A 

      View the properties of the item ALT+ENTER or ALT+double-click 

      The APPLICATION key can be used for the Microsoft natural keyboard or other compatible keys containing the APPLICATION key 

    7 The shortcut keys of the Microsoft zoom program 

      A combination of the Windows logo key and other keys is used here. 

      Shortcut key purpose 

      Windows logo + PRINT SCREEN Copy the screen to the clipboard (including the mouse cursor 

      Windows logo + SCROLL LOCK to copy the screen to the clipboard (excluding mouse cursor) 

      Windows logo + PAGE UP switch to reverse color. 

      Windows logo + PAGE DOWN switch to follow the mouse cursor 

      Windows logo + up arrow to increase magnification 

      Windows logo + down arrow to decrease the magnification 

    8. Use computer shortcut keys for auxiliary options 

      Purpose shortcut 

      Toggle the filter key switch right SHIFT for eight seconds 

      Toggle high contrast switch Left ALT+Left SHIFT+PRINT SCREEN 

      Toggle the mouse button switch Left ALT+Left SHIFT+NUM LOCK 

      Toggle the sticky key switch SHIFT key five times 

      Toggle the toggle switch NUM LOCK for five seconds
