Craft for Epiphany: Befana’s stocking in fabric!.
EPIPHANY STOCKING
What we need:
– Fabric sock
– Glitter
gouache
– Gouache – Black indelible marker
– Vinyl glue
– Cotton, recycled paper, rope, red cloth
How you do it?
• Draw a reindeer on the sock.
• Fill the sock with recycled paper, to avoid coloring the other side as well.
• Color the face and antlers of the reindeer with fabric paints.
• When the gouache is dry, go over the contours with the black marker.
• Make lots of cotton balls and pass them in the color mixed with the glue.
• Apply the colored balls on the body of the reindeer and finish with another color mixed with glue, using a brush.
• When the color on the reindeer’s body is also dry, finish the edges with the black marker.
• Take another cotton ball, pass it in the color, dry it with the dryer, and glue it as a reindeer tail, so that it protrudes from the fabric of the sock.
• Take two 20 cm long pieces of string.
• Make two holes under the body of the reindeer with scissors.
• Thread each piece of string through a hole and tie it around the sock.
• To each of the four garments created, tie a piece of cloth.
• Go over all the gold glitter fabric colors.
• Finish the eyelet of the sock with a cloth bow
