GAMES TO DO OUTDOORS WHEN IT RAINS
So here I will discuss GAMES TO DO OUTDOORS WHEN IT RAINS
Wet day, holiday day
Dance the rain on my head
It goes down on the nose, it goes down on the face
Water impregnated with paradise
And I look up and I look down
I follow the dance step by step
I feel the rain caressing me
Slips away with fatigue
Feast day, wet day
Look at me mom: I’m washed.

Let’s not be stopped by bad weather, let’s try some outdoor games together! Even gloomy days with rain, wind and snow can offer great opportunities to have fun and learn. We don’t necessarily have to choose activities to do indoors, but it is enough to have the right clothing to stay warm and go outside to play.
For this hymn of outdoor games, we were inspired by the book by Di Fiona Danks and Jo Schofield, Long live the bad weather , which made us think of those children from the Nordic countries who leave the house with the rain and without an umbrella. . Who among us, when he was little, didn’t dream of putting on a cape and rain boots to jump in the puddles?
The worry was then to go home all dirty and smeared !! But this was and is precisely the most fascinating aspect.
All that remains is to get the right equipment:
- Old clothes and overalls that can get dirty without problems
- Waterproof jacket and pants
- Rubber boots
- Waterproof gloves.
So let’s see some outdoor activities, walking in the rain.
On the hunt for the rainbow:
take a container and collect as many leaves as there are colors of the rainbow; in this way you will then have to create several strips with white cardboard, on each of which you will glue the leaves of different shades. In this way you will get 7 stripes with the 7 colors of the rainbow.
Picnic in the rain:
another very fun activity is the picnic, all you have to do is prepare a backpack with a very good and tasty kiosk, equip yourself with a cape, rubber boots and go with the adventure in the woods.
Bring waterproof tarps to build a hut for shelter and after the picnic relax with the sound of rain and wind rushing into your shelter.
Coloring the puddles:
this is another very fascinating activity that allows you to give color to puddles!
Provide the children with food coloring, colored powders with brushes, it will be exciting to see these puddles take on brighter colors.
So? Long live the bad weather !! Have fun with your children, go hunting for rainbows, sing in the rain, listen to the sound of the wind to rediscover that inalienable sense of freedom, lightheartedness and innocence that so characterize and make the period of childhood precious.
