Hogwarts Legacy won’t have some iconic Harry Potter settings – it’ll respect the era of the game
The topic arose when a fan noticed a certain character that should not be present in the game.
Hogwats Legacy writer DC Allen confirmed a couple of locations that we won’t see within the game. The title is set in the 19th century , a time never before explored in the Harry Potter universe . And while the known details of the project are scant, we know that the developers will respect the original material .
I didn’t know about the Whomping Willow, that’s a rookie mistake.DC Allen, Hogwarts Legacy writerSomething that Allen has once again made clear with his statements. A follower of the game mentioned on social networks the appearance of the Whomping Willow , the living tree that inhabits Hogwarts, in one of the promotional arts of the game. His presence in the game would be incorrect, since said tree was not planted until 1971 , and Allen responded to this person’s observation.
“A rookie mistake”, so Allen said, and incidentally, he also mentioned the House of Screams , which was not present during that time either. Details like these might go unnoticed by some, but the Hogwarts Legacy team is not planning to leave these continuity errors in the title.
The Hogwarts Legacy announcement trailer continues to be among the most watched on the PlayStation channel, and the author of the Harry Potter books, JK Rowling , has not had a hand in this original story . The game will arrive sometime in 2022 .
