Today a new Huawei sub-brand terminal has been unveiled in China, which is actually an old acquaintance. We are talking about the Honor 20 Lite, which arrived in Europe in mid-May of this year. This terminal has received a new edition that improves certain key aspects of the device. This has received the name of Honor 20 Lite Youth Edition and this time we will take the opportunity to find out what is new.
This is the Honor 20 Lite Youth Edition: Honor 20 Lite Youth Edition, better screen and rear cameras
The terminal is built around its 6.3-inch AMOLED screen , which outlines a 20: 9 aspect ratio and an FHD + resolution . The panel also lacks bezels, but does feature a small notch for the front camera.
The back cover is made of glass and has an attractive gradient effect, being available in three color options: Blue-Pink, Green and Black. In this cover we will find the triple camera aligned vertically followed by an LED Flash.
However, unlike the original model, the Honor 20 Lite does not have a fingerprint reader in this position, since it has been moved to the screen itself.
Hardware and Features:
At the hardware level there have also been changes, starting with the version of the chip used. This time we are talking about a Kirin 710F paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, there are other variants of course, which we will list later.
On the other hand, the terminal is powered by a 4,000mAh battery compatible with 20-watt fast charge . This represents an increase of 600mAh compared to the standard Honor 20 Lite. Also, the operating system has been updated to EMUI 9.1 based on Android 9 Pie.
The photographic department receives a significant upgrade in the new Honor 20 Lite Youth Edition. This time the main camera uses a 48MP main sensor instead of 24MP . Nonetheless, the 8MP ultra-wide lens with 120-degree field of view and 2MP depth sensor remain unaltered.
However, the front camera suffers from a considerable cutout, from 32MP to just 16MP.
Availability and price of the Honor 20 Lite Youth Edition
The Honor 20 Lite Youth Edition will go on sale in China on October 25 in the following memory options:
- 4GB + 64GB = 1,399 yuan (180 euros at the change)
- 6GB + 64GB = 1,499 yuan (190 euros)
