Honor Magic3 series, Honor returns to the fray with 3 Premium mobiles

Today it is already understood that Honor does not have official ties with Huawei, which gives it many freedoms as a company, including launching 3 flagships that integrate the latest in Qualcomm processors and dream photographic configurations, with you, the series Honor Magic3 .

Honor Magic3, Magic3 Pro and Magic3 Pro + : Honor Magic3 series, Honor returns to the fray with 3 Premium mobiles

There’s a lot to unpack from the Honor Magic 3 series, but luckily for us, they have a lot in common. In this sense, the phones in the line-up sport a 6.76-inch Flex OLED screen with a resolution of 2,772 x 1,344 pixels and, more interestingly, a refresh rate of 120Hz to enjoy games with greater fluidity.

To make matters worse, the perforated panel with dual selfie camera exhibits a slight 89 ° curvature on the sides. In terms of sound, these smartphones are equipped with IMAX Enhanced and dual stereo speakers that provide DTS-X surround audio.

This is where we begin to see differences between the terminals, since only the Honor Magic3 Pro achieves IP68 certification against water and dust, while the Honor Magic3 stays at IP54, which means that it is only resistant to superficial splashes and not to the dive like his older brother.

Likewise, the Honor Magic 3 Pro + is not made of synthetic leather or glass on the back like its brothers, instead, we come across a ceramic cover with laser engraving that gives it an extremely premium touch. That said, the Plus model comes in two minimalist colors: black and white.

It is not a surprise that the most powerful chip on the current market is present in this trio of high-end terminals, but it should be clarified that the standard model conforms to the standard version of the chip, while the Pro models make use of the Plus version. . That is, the Magic3 uses the Snapdragon 888 , while the Magic3 Pro and Pro + opt for the Snapdragon 888+ . Also, the memory variants are as follows:

  • Magic3: 8GB + 128GB or 8GB + 256GB
  • Magic3 Pro: 8GB + 256GB
  • 3 Pro +: 12GB + 512GB

What it does have in common is a host of features to improve gaming performance and combat scheduled obsolescence, including GPU Turbo X technology , Link Turbo X, and graphene cooling. Another aspect they have in common is the 4,600mAh battery with 66W fast charging and 50W wireless.

Honor Magic3 Series 5G

As expected, the presence of Android 11 along with the manufacturer’s custom layer (Magic UI) is another constant, and we can say the same about the 5G NSA / SA connectivity and the Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1 and GPS standards.

Cameras to unleash your inner photographer

The photographic bet is very strong in the Honor Magic3 series, starting with the standard model we have a camera headed by the Sony IMX766 50MP (f / 1.9) sensor, which is supported by a 64MP monochrome sensor and a wide-angle lens of 13MP. Finally, it has laser focus and LED flash.

Meanwhile, the Magic3 Pro repeats the same formula with the addition of a 64MP telephoto lens , which adds optical image stabilization and 4x zoom to the whole (digital x100). As if that were not enough, it incorporates an 8 × 8 dToF sensor for time of flight.

Cameras

The Pro + model repeats the photographic configuration present in the Honor Magic3 Pro, but replaces the 13MP wide-angle lens with a 64MP one with f / 2.2 aperture and optical image stabilization .

Finally, there are two selfie cameras, a 13MP camera with a 100 ° field of view and a 3D depth sensor for time of flight that supports 3D facial recognition.

Availability and price of the Honor Magic3 series

According to the company, the HONOR Magic3 series will have a starting price of 899 euros, being available in Golden Hour and Blue Hour tones, made of synthetic leather, as well as black and white. Meanwhile, the Magic3 Pro, starting at 1,099 euros, is available in gold, black and white, while the HONOR Magic3 Pro +, starting at 1,499 euros , comes in Ceramic Black and Ceramic White.
