Do you have an interview  for a position in one of the many English-speaking countries? Don’t worry, the content of the interview will be the same as in the Spanish ones, but in English, of course! Here are our tips for being successful in an English interview :
Before the interview, look for  information about the company  and especially its values. This is what will make you stand out from other candidates,
Learn vocabulary related to the position you want to get  but also to your previous positions and your field of study,
Be  punctual  and  polite:  « good morning / good afternoon», «may I sit down, please?», «Thank you and have a good day»,
Start by introducing yourself: “Hello, I’m John. I’m 28 and I work as an engineer. I’ve been graduated from [school] two years ago and since then I’ve been working as a technical engineer for Thales » ,
Be  sure of yourself  and don’t get stuck speaking in English,
Take your time and  articulate the words well ,
Focus on your  skills  and your  studies  in relation to the position you want to occupy,
Prepare the answers for typical questions such as your strengths and weaknesses , your  professional future or why you are the  ideal candidate.
Practice ahead of time to develop the most important language skills that will be assessed during the interview.
Speaking English fluently  requires work and regularity. Even if you are bilingual, you should keep practicing day after day. A language can be forgotten pretty quickly. If you don’t practice English regularly, your vocabulary will get poorer and you’ll have gaps in speaking.
