LEARN TO COLOR AND DRAW WITH OUR CHILD!

”  Drawing  is the art of leading a line for a walk.” LEARN TO COLOR AND DRAW WITH OUR CHILD!

Drawing is a fundamental activity for the growth of every child ; it is in fact through the drawing that the child speaks to the outside world and helps us to understand his emotions and moods.

In the first years of life, the drawing represents a form of free expression, through which the child expresses the imagination and creativity… in real incomprehensible scribbles.

During growth, there is a real evolution and the art of drawing passes from the phase of the scribble and that of more realistic representations in which the child begins to best express what he lives and sees around him, also representing the concept of proportions. This happens because the child’s sense of observation and attention develops, on which the parent’s activity is also fundamental: to make him understand the difference between a straight line and a curved line, to make him notice in person that the tree is taller of a flower or that the person must “enter” inside a house (unless it is a giant!), are important forms of teaching and stimulation that the parent can give to the child. And it is then that you can really start drawing!

Decomposing the images into simple geometric shapes (square, circle, triangle, etc.) can be the beginning of the small work of art that can later be enriched by the child with fascinating details and details. In this regard, our article “I LEARN TO DRAW WITH GEOMETRY ” is presented as an educational game whose cards illustrate “step by step” the steps to be taken to draw an animal, a vehicle or an object, starting from a shape geometric; it is a tool that accompanies the child in the creation of simple drawings, developing his artistic qualities and letting his imagination run wild.

The activity that follows the creation of the contours of the drawing is that of filling. It does not matter what type of color is used (pencils, markers, crayons, watercolors, etc.), but for the parent it is essential to understand that it is the most fun phase for the child and that his role is to teach him not to go out. from the previously drawn margins.

And then the final phase comes into play, entirely dedicated to parents: enhancing the child’s abilities and congratulating him on the result obtained.

Pointing out to him where he could have done more or suggesting what he could have added to the created setting, are evaluations that must help the child, to encourage him to make the next drawing better, but never to diminish his artistic activity!

Let us remember that freehand drawing is an innate talent that is not for everyone, so it is good not to force the child to draw “well” (the concept of which is always relative …). Drawing must be an activity with which the child can relax, through which he leaves free space to the imagination, a way to discover his passions, with which to bring out his mood, and why not, a way to the parent to spend time together by starting to draw with him … to take many walks to the sound of lines and circles!
