Learn to position your hands and fingers
The beginning typist has to learn to position each hand and finger correctly on the keyboard. Obviously, at first, it is slow.
Like everyone else, I have been there and today I can type fast, without having to look at the keyboard or the screen.
But not everyone is a translator or a web writer: how to get the correct positioning of the fingers and memorize the location of each key, and above all, how to know that we have not pressed another key?
To increase accuracy , note that:
- It is the fingers that move, not the wrists,
- You have to place your hands on the central line of the Spanish keyboard: from the “a” to the “ñ” key,
- Place the index of the left hand on the “f” and the one of the right on the “j” (keys with a signal for blind people),
- Thumbs on the space bar.
Each finger has to touch precise keys.
Surprise question (but easy): How to put the capital letters ?
Now you just have to practice to write faster and faster and memorize the keyboard.
To increase the speed, you will have to take some good habits that will allow you to be more productive: use the keyboard shortcuts. Learn to position your hands and fingers
