SEAS teaches the Mechanized Theory Course online   so that you can learn about the most common machinery and mechanized processes in a mechanical manufacturing workshop, a subject of great importance. Throughout working life, it is very difficult to seriously face decision-making when there are numerous technical gaps or even the subject is completely unknown. The manufacturing workshops incorporate special machinery and equipment for maintenance that must be known, to which of course must be added those already existing for the production areas themselves.

A large number of industries base their production on the transformation or elaboration of products using mechanized techniques with manual or CNC machines. That is why our training is not limited to the description of the types of machine tools, but you will also  study the machining processes  that are carried out with them, as well as the tools and cutting data most used in a workshop. machining.

You will learn to:

  • Learn the fundamental concepts of machining by chip removal
  • Adequately know the machine tools commonly used and other specialized ones, both in terms of their application and their most relevant parts and characteristics
  • Know the most common machining processes in a mechanical workshop
  • Know the construction characteristics of the cutting tools, used as well as the calculation of the cutting data
  • Regularly apply the lexicon and terminology used in the mechanical area, given its high degree of specialization

With this course you will be able to train to work as:

  • Technician in production or maintenance departments in general
  • Conventional or CNC machine tool operator, workshop manager / manager, operator or maintenance manager

Upon successful completion of the course, you will obtain a Machining Theory Course  qualification issued by  Universidad San Jorge  (6 ECTS credits).

previous requirements

To access one of our  Technical Courses  , one of the following requirements must be met:

  • Being over 18 years

In this case, the title of Technical Course is issued indicating the content and duration of the study in hours. It does not award ECTS.

Or meet one of the following requirements:

  • Be in possession of the Bachelor’s degree or declared equivalent. Also graduates in European Baccalaureate and International Baccalaureate, or equivalent to baccalaureate degrees from educational systems of member states of the European Union or other non-member states
  • Be in possession of a qualification of Superior Technician of Professional Training, or of Superior Technician in Plastic Arts and Design or Superior Sports Technician
  • Be over 25 years of age with at least 1 year of accredited professional experience related to the content of the training
  • Be a university graduate

In any of these cases, the title of Technical Course is issued indicating the content, duration in hours of study and ECTS credits awarded.
