Low Children’s Bed: Learning Autonomy

Offering your child a low bed, without sides, can become an educational and growth moment for everyone: children and parents.

The low bed is also called a Montessori bed , as it is inspired by the educational principles that guide Montessori games and products , useful for applying the method devised by the educator, pedagogist, philosopher, doctor, child neuropsychiatrist and scientist born in 1870.

• the little one can get on and off without the help of an adult;

MONTESSORI BED

The  low cot  is a fundamental element for a Montessori-style bedroom, as it guarantees the child the freedom to lie down and get up, being able to look around and not experiencing the cot as a prison or a place from which to try to escape putting himself in danger of bad falls. .

An alternative to the bed is the futon, a bed with soft sides and only 15 cm high.

MONTESSORI FURNITURE

Open shelves, at child’s height and made of natural materials. These are the furniture in which to store games and/or books that can be taken at will by the child without the intervention of an adult to help them reach the desired objects.

In this way the little one is autonomous when he takes something and takes responsibility because he can store his own games and books independently.

MULTI-PURPOSE BENCH

The multipurpose bench changes the height of the seat or turns into a coffee table, taking advantage of the three heights available in a single object: 17, 22 and 31 cm. In this way it follows the growth of the child and his needs which can be sitting down or having a foothold for play, reading or creative moments.
