MUSIC BEGINS WITH LIFE

    MUSIC BEGINS WITH LIFE

It is often believed that in order for your children to discover music, one has to wait until a certain age is reached; but music is not linked only to playing a specific instrument where the degree of development of the child certainly affects learning.

If we talk about music as the set of sounds and noises that surround us, there is no right age in which to start.

Several scientific researches have shown that the fetus in the mother’s belly is already able to listen to music by responding with the movements of its own body and face; so it’s just a matter of continuing to stimulate children to approach the sounds of the real world, giving them the opportunity to experience music with all their senses from the earliest years of life.

And to do that, you don’t need to be a professional musician: just find a song to sing for them while we change their diaper or while we bathe them; find the song that makes them laugh and the one that reassures them, to be able to live together funny moments and the moments before bedtime; let them discover that we are surrounded by many sounds and that the first instrument we have at our disposal is our voice, together with our body that can be beaten like a small battery!

And it is not even necessary to go to faraway places to make music; the house is a place full of sounds to discover and offers the possibility of creating different musical instruments : wooden spoons are excellent sticks to beat together, with empty tin cans you can create a small drum to play with cutlery, putting the coarse salt inside the empty plastic bottles you can create fun maracas to be personalized with colors and decorations …

The approach to real musical instruments can arrive at the age of 5-6, when the child starts school, begins to read and learns to study; but before then, music must be linked to play, to fun, to the possibility of experiencing the future skills of musician that there is in each of them!

In fact, making music allows children to learn to listen, to sing, to dance, to create, to improvise and to communicate.

Music must be a source of smiles and laughter for them, to be shared from the earliest years of life with their parents, grandparents and playmates ; this allows the child to develop their skills and hone their skills, fully developing their personality … which may lead them to become a great little musician!

So … GOOD MUSIC TO ALL !!!
