Music in Spanish as an essential tool in language class

It is clear that music has a history centuries and centuries old, but we cannot doubt that recordings and technological advances have given it a 360 degree turn. Anyone can access it, at any time, from anywhere. Hence, many teachers have wanted to rely on the power of music to “tame their beasts”, liven up the classes and help them learn in a fun way.

Music to promote language learning.
You can learn through music.

The most innovative pedagogies seek to find a way for students to turn their passions into learning tools, which allow them to maintain their concentration levels to the maximum. The music teachers were the first to take advantage of this vein, but the language teacher (Spanish, English, French, German…) has also been using national and international music in their classrooms for many years.

From more “classic” artists (Raphael, Nino Bravo, Joaquín Sabina…) to the most current ones (Shakira, Enrique Iglesias, Juanes, etc.), teachers have a great variety to choose from. With a rhythm and a melody, it is much easier to memorize sounds and pronunciation, but also to expand vocabulary. Music has a very great influence on our language.
