On this occasion we welcome the new Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro , which has received a global launch under a configuration that mixes elements of the Redmi Note 9S and Redmi Note 9, but which positions it as the best possible option in terms of performance and Photography.

Xiaomi has always been criticized for the enormous resemblance between its terminals of the same generation, but as the saying goes, “If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it.” In this sense, the brand has kept the design line present in Redmi Note 8 Pro intact and has extrapolated it in its successor with the occasional change, but if you are already familiar with the Redmi Note 9 Pro that Xiaomi presented in India in March, then you can skip this section entirely.
Among these changes we can point out a slightly larger IPS screen, 6.67 inches to be exact , which outlines a FullHD + resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels , a brightness of 450 nits and also a punch-hole camera (perforation) in the center. We will not find a refresh rate higher than 60Hz in this terminal, but what there is is a TÜV Rheinland certification that guarantees a considerable reduction in blue light.
The device has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on both the front glass and the back cover, and speaking of the latter, here we will also find a big change, specifically in the photographic module, which is now positioned in the center and exhibits a shape square that appears to extend downward to give rise to an LED flash.
At the moment the color presentations are tropical green, white and gray.
Hardware and Features
Xiaomi has opted for the Snapdragon 720G processor to power the Redmi 9S and Redmi Note 9 Pro, but in the latter it is paired with 4 / 6GB of RAM . For its part, the storage options are 64GB and 128GB with the option of expanding it up to 512GB via Micro-SD.
As expected, the Redmi Note 9 Pro does not disappoint in its battery capacity, which reaches 5,020mAh and is complemented by a 30W fast charge , which is another improvement over its Indian counterpart. Also, this international version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro has NFC in addition to the connectivity options present in the other edition.
The operating system is run by MIUI 11 based on Android, which does not come as a surprise to anyone.
Cameras
Moving on to the photographic realm, the Redmi Note 9 Pro ups the ante by betting on a quad camera with a higher resolution than the Redmi Note 9S. In this sense, the main sensor is 64MP with a 6-piece lens , f / 1.8 aperture, AF and pixel-binning technology to combine several pixels in 1. For its part, the wide-angle lens is 8MP and offers a field of 119 degree vision. Lastly, we have a 5MP (2-10cm) macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor.
Meanwhile, the front camera offers us 16MP with f / 2.48 aperture and facial recognition.
Availability and price of the Redmi Note 9 Pro
Although Xiaomi has already confirmed its international launch and arrival in Spain , the price of each model has yet to be officially announced . However, if we are guided by its prices in dollars, the 4GB + 64GB configuration should cost around 240 euros, while the 6GB + 128GB could cost around 270 euros.
