It has rained a lot since last February the futuristic Huawei Mate X was presented in Barcelona , the first folding of the Chinese company that managed to give us back the illusion of true innovation in smartphones . An illusion that, little by little, was transformed into impatience with the continuous delays in its launch date. Finally, the day is already marked on the calendar, although, for now, only for the Chinese market.
On November 15, the Huawei Mate X will be launched in China: November 15: The Huawei Mate X already has a release date
However, we should not take it as bittersweet news. The release of the Huawei Mate X in China implies that the device is already fully functional and its arrival in other markets should not be delayed . Among them, Spain, where Huawei has an important fiefdom.
In addition, we will be able to see in much more detail (beyond the promotional materials) the first reviews and unboxings of those lucky users who bet on the company’s folding proposal.
The launch in China has been dated for November 15 , with a price somewhat lower than initially announced: 16,999 yuan (2,400 dollars or 2,160 euros at the exchange rate). In his presentation of the MWC 2019 there was talk of 2,299 euros, so this small adjustment benefits the pocket of potential buyers, perhaps, conditioned by the sale price of the Samsung Galaxy Fold (2,020 euros).
We recall that the Huawei Mate X mounts a high-end hardware: 8 GB of RAM, 512 GB of internal storage, 4,500 mAh battery, 8-inch screen (extended), 6.6 inches (front) and 6.4 inches (rear). As for the processor used, everything indicates that we will have it available in two versions, one with Kirin 980 and another with Kirin 990 .
We do not have official information about his arrival in Europe, but we hope that after landing in China, it will not take too long.
