Persona adds to its success with more than 15 million games sold in the series to date
Atlus shares the data and figures the sales of several launches of the Japanese role-playing franchise, successful on consoles and PC.
Good news for Atlus . As confirmed today by the Japanese developer, the Persona series has exceeded the figure of 15 million games sold since the launch of its first installment more than 25 years ago, including digital copies.
The document has been collected by the portal specialized in the Central Persona series, and also gives figures for some of the most recent launches of the series. For example, it is stated that Persona 5 Royal for PS4 has sold 1.8 million copies since its launch in Japan on October 31, 2019, which represents an increase of about 400,000 copies from the data registered in July 2020.
Things are also going well for Persona 5 Strikers , the bet of the series more focused on action that left such a good taste in teammate Martín Amechazurra as he told us in the analysis of P5 Strikers published in 3DJuegos. Specifically, the video game has sold 1.5 million copies between PC, PS4 and Nintendo Switch, 200,000 more compared to the last data shared in April of this year.
Persona 4 Golden has sold 900,000 games on PCOn the other hand, and as an example of the good performance of the franchise also on computer, Atlus has confirmed that Persona 4 Golden has sold 900,000 games on PC. In July 2020 it was reported that the video game had been purchased half a million times. This same video game accumulates 1.5 million copies on PS Vita. Finally, and as another point of interest for the expansion of the series, Persona Central echoes the good work in stores of the Persona 5 soundtrack , with more than 100,000 copies sold since its arrival on the market in 2017.
The franchise is quite beloved among 3DJuegos readers, who celebrated the launch of Persona 5: Strikers on February 23, a daring proposal, fresh in the playable, and full of exciting combats with up to 40 hours of gameplay.
