The mobile market has been very busy this year despite the pandemic; And with the closing of each quarter, come the respective reports from analytical firms such as IDC, Canalys and CounterPoint Research, which provide us with an easy-to-understand metric on the performance of smartphone manufacturers during a certain period of time, in this case, during the third quarter of 2020.
The novelty this time is that the popular Chinese manufacturer, Xiaomi, has snatched the third place from Apple’s American apple. Likewise, Samsung remains in the lead with a total of 80 million shipments of smartphones , a share of 22% and, as if that were not enough, it is beginning to regain the market share that Xiaomi took from it in the Indian market.
For its part, Huawei remains the eternal number 2 , reaching a total of 50.9 million shipments during the third quarter and dominating approximately 14% of the market.
These data are provided by CounterPoint Research, but those obtained by the other firms do not differ much from the information presented above.
