SPACE FOR EDUCATIONAL PLAY: CHALK AND CHUCKLES BOARD GAMES FOR CHILDREN!

We travel to India to discover a new company soon available on our website and for our resellers: Chalk and Chuckles ! So here you will see space for educational play with complete details.

In addition to having as a name a tongue twister for us Italians, this emerging company was born from the passion of two young sisters: Pallavi and Prachi, who 4 years decided to continue playing for the rest of their lives and to found a company dedicated exclusively to gaming. educational, specifically to board  games for children.

Their goal is clear: to create child-friendly games, in which they can not only have fun but also learn and develop various cognitive skills. In full Borgione philosophy then!

Chalk and Chuckles loves to declare on all their boxes “You are what you play!” (“You are what you play”) and we can only totally agree: it is through play that we learn to relate to others, to develop our cognitive thinking and this is not only true for children but also most older children. From St. Thomas Aquinas “Ludus est necessarius ad conversationem humanae vitae”, passing through Nietzsche “A child hides in the authentic man: who wants to play”, up to the more modern George Bernard Shaw “Man never stops play because it gets old, but gets old because it stops playing ”… in short, time passes but not the desire to play!

Among the games that Chalk and Chuckles produces, the ones we have selected for you are 10, but many more will come:

    • Pajama Party : A fun logic game that combines colors, objects, shapes and numbers (for 2-4 players, ages 3 and up). Roll the dice and find the right combination! There is only one card that matches the colors of the dice, the first to find it wins 1 point.

    • Season Wise : a game to discover the 4 seasons, going from sun to snow (for 2-4 players, ages 3 and up). The cards are turned one by one, the fastest player who manages to associate the card with the right season by placing the felt marker, wins the card. At the end of the cards, the player with the most wins the game.

    • Hungrrry Four : a movement and memory game, in which you have to help the animals find their food (for more than 2 players – the more we are, the more we have fun -, from 3 years upwards). This is truly a party game for many players where you can play even in very large spaces. The goal is to be the first to earn two tokens, how? Easy, you have to memorize the various foods of the animals, cover them all and when we turn the tiles that the dice tells us to remember which animal corresponds to that food.

    • Caterpillar Cutter : Help the caterpillar find his shoes with this addicting game of memory, speed and precision (for 1 to 4 players, ages 4 and up). Worried about too many shoes? Do you always complain that your wife, girlfriend or partner buys too many ??? What then put yourself in the shoes (or rather in the shoes) of a poor caterpillar! During the game we all have to look at a card for a few seconds and try to memorize the highest shoe size. Once the card has been turned over, we must be the fastest to take as many shoes as we remember from the center of the table. Whoever manages to get more, obviously right, receives a point.

    • Clever Counting : Help the farmer to count the animals that live on his farm, developing attention and calculation (for 1 player or more, ages 3 and up) This is an excellent game that teaches children to learn to count by associating the tiles and checking if the tractor wheels fit together perfectly: then it means that the combination is correct!

    • Sandwich Mix Up : a game of observation, speed and interlocking in which to reassemble all the sandwiches that the monkey has divided (for 1 to 5 players, from 5 years old) In this nice one we must be able to associate the sandwiches by feeling with hands and without looking at the various shapes and hollows, only when we are sure then we can close the sandwich! If the halves fit together perfectly, then it means the combination is right and I earn a point.

    • Why Connect : create the link between two objects and declare it aloud; the more bonds you create, the more points you will score (for 2 to 4 players, ages 6 and up) A nice evolution of the domino where it is not the numbers that are associated but your ability to find associations between the tiles on the table and those in your hand. The first player who manages to use up all his tiles as quickly as possible wins.

    • Dig Up : mentally visualizes the path to take to find and capture the food hidden underground; this is the only way you can go to the forest festival! (for 1 to 2 players, ages 6 and up) At a time when food, chef and cooking themed television programs are king, even our friendly moles are busy creating the most succulent dishes! However, we must first find all the ingredients hidden underground by following all the intertwined paths.

    • Super Math Spy : Spies are Going on a Mission! Complete the mission as soon as possible, sharpening your wits and solving the mathematical mystery (for 2 to 4 players, ages 7 and up) A game of logic and mathematics, in which the fastest player to complete the indicated mathematical operation wins from the die in order to arrive at the result shown on the card! What’s new? To do the operations we must first wear our fantastic spy glasses that allow us to see all the numbers!

The beauty of these games is not only in the accurate graphics but also in the playability: the games are simple and immediate, therefore capable of thrilling young and old. They also all feature two levels of play, which certainly makes them more durable.

We are sure these games will be a great success and we can’t wait to spend many hours having fun and playing together!
