SPRING EXPERIMENTS
Surely as a child in kindergarten you will have tried your hand at gardening with the experiment of beans in cotton wool. SPRING EXPERIMENTS
Do you remember it? It was a very magical moment, which you could propose to your children, also because it recalls the imagery of the fairy tale “Jack and the Magic Bean” which tells of an adventure, of growth …
It is also significant to commit to cultivating something that potentially (!) Could end up on our tables.
Here’s how Spring Experiments done
Take some plastic jars, from flowers and line them with cotton wool. Then place some beans, four or five, and cover them again with cotton wool.
You will have to wet everything with water and always keep it moist, but exposed to the sun or near the last heat of the radiator!
It will be a surprise to see the first tender green leaves appear, and then see them suddenly “soar” in the middle of the cotton. This is also an exercise in caring for our little ones, which becomes transferable to other contexts. You will see how much love they will put in!
Indeed, you can also try with tomatoes!
The process is slightly different. Always with our jars, but this time they will be filled with soil and you can simply place slices of a tomato (cherry for example), always keep moist and illuminated.
