THE MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS

    THE MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS

When I was a child, it was the light of the Christmas tree, the music of midnight mass, the sweetness of smiles that made the Christmas present I received shine. THE MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS

Christmas is the most awaited holiday of the year, the one that gives meaning to winter, the one that has always been associated with Magic.

It is a moment of muffled suspension from routine, it is that day in which whatever the weather is always welcome, in which each of us is committed to giving the best of himself to make the day special for others too, in which frictions take a back seat and in which there is no talk of work and duties.

Christmas is serenity, a time to be together, to rediscover oneself a little and to rediscover others, behind every gift exchanged there is a thought and there is the time that each of us has dedicated to the other person.

A Doxa survey entitled “The Italians and the magic of Christmas” commissioned in 2015 by the Magico Paese di Natale di Govone (CN) showed that for 7 out of 10 Italians (69%) Christmas is the “magical” holiday par excellence and for 55% the real symbol of this festival is the Nativity scene.

In addition, more and more people prefer the traditional Christmas markets to the designer shopping streets. The survey data in fact tell us that 8% of Italians – we are talking about over 4 million people, especially young people – consider the markets the symbol of this holiday, equaling Santa Claus himself, irreplaceable symbol of the party for about 9 % of the sample.

In Govone you will find all this: Santa Claus in his Govonian annex ready to welcome all those who want to visit him, the largest agricultural and handicraft Christmas market in Italy, the Mechanical Nativity and handmade nativity scenes, but above all the Magic.

The atmosphere at the Magical Christmas Village is simply unique, there are all the ingredients for an unforgettable day: the music, the colors, the scent of good food that spreads from the little houses of the Market and from the Locanda, the lights that are reflected in the the bright eyes of children and the warm and relaxed smiles of adults.
