Not long ago we told you about the launch of the renewed OnePlus flagship, the OnePlus 7T, and this time we are here to announce the arrival of the OnePlus 7T Pro and its special edition McLaren . Additionally, the company has confirmed the launch of this family of mobiles in Europe, so we finally know how much they will cost here in Spain.
This is the OnePlus 7T Pro: The OnePlus 7T Pro and its special edition McLaren are announced
The OnePlus 7T Pro has well-defined differences compared to the standard 7T. To begin with, the cameras are vertically aligned in a capsule-shaped module, while in the standard model they are located in a circular module and horizontally. The 3D curvature and materials of the rear cover remain unchanged, but the same cannot be said for the front.
This time we are talking about a larger screen, 6.67 inches to be precise. This uses a panel with AMOLED technology, outlines a QHD + resolution of 3120 × 1440 pixels with a density of 516ppi and lacks a notch.
The screen stands out for its 90Hz refresh rate, which promises to improve fluidity when scrolling through the interface and applications, as well as in video games that run at more than 60FPS.
In addition, we find qualities that we already expected from this terminal, such as HDR10 +, 1,000 nit brightness, TÜV Rheinland “Eye Comfort” certification, curved design without bezels and a folding front camera .
Hardware and other features: The OnePlus 7T Pro and its special edition McLaren are announced
At the hardware level we do not find many differences, only the fact that there is a single memory configuration. In this sense, the OnePlus 7T Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ platform along with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage .
The battery in this unit has a capacity of 4,085mAh to compensate for the larger screen. In turn, it supports 30-watt fast charging through its USB 3.1 GEN 1 type C port.
Other features of the terminal are: NFC, dual-band GPS, stereo speakers, Bluetooth 5.0, Wifi ac 2 × 2 MIMO, and, of course, OxygenOS 10 based on Android 10 .
Cameras
In addition to the flip-out selfie camera, there have been other changes to the photography department of the Pro version of the OnePlus 7T. The triple camera maintains the 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with IOS + EIS , but the telephoto lens this time has an 8MP resolution with f / 2.4 aperture, 3x zoom and optical image stabilization. For its part, the ultra-wide-angle sensor maintains its 16MP and f / 2.2 aperture, but with a size of 13mm.
Finally, the 16MP Sony IMX471 front camera this time is housed in a drop-down system at the top of the terminal.
OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition
The McLaren Edition is a prestigious special edition made in collaboration with the renowned automotive brand, which includes an exclusive design, more RAM and themed appearances for the interface.
Getting into the details, the first thing you’ll notice when you see it is the orange accent around the edges of the rear panel and the camera, as well as the sleek black with a design inspired by the high-performance carbon TPT material found on the McLaren Speedtail.
At the hardware level we find that it has 12GB of RAM instead of 8GB . The interface also features McLaren-themed icons and wallpapers.
