Where can you leave your bags in the beautiful City of Waters, between bridges and canals?
Where will there be more tourists? Discover the islands of the lagoon.

In Venice we find six districts: What are the different neighborhoods in Venice? | Travel Guide

San Marco
Dorsoduro
San Polo
Cannaregio
Castello
Giudecca
San Marco is the most visited neighborhood because it concentrates most of the city’s historical monuments.
Previously, it was the political, economic and religious center of the powerful Republic of Venice.
If you’re not a fan of historical relics, want to escape the crowds, or have already seen all of San Marco, head south to discover the Dorsoduro district.
This is the artistic and bohemian part of the city: the district concentrates a large number of bars and restaurants, osterias and trattorias where you can drink, for example, spritz , the emblematic Italian drink.
In addition, you will enjoy a much more relaxed atmosphere than in San Marco.
Crossing the famous Rialto Bridge, you will arrive in San Polo: the oldest district of the city.
On the other side, we find the Cannaregio district.
This neighborhood is famous for being the place where Jews were forced to reside, from 1516 until the Napoleonic occupation in 1797. In addition, it is the least visited district of Venice: there you will find a very normal life and, above all, a good atmosphere of air and tranquility.
At the southeastern end of central Venice is the Castello district, with the Basilica of Santi Giovanni e Paolo, the largest church in the city.
The Napoleon Gardens also offer an invigorating green setting, with the Venice Biennale, a music, dance, architecture and film festival, and a view of the island of Lido.
But this is not all: Venice spreads like an archipelago in 121 islands and islets !
A taxi-type boat, the vaporetto , will allow you to go from one to another, in particular, to Burano, the Church of San Martino, the fish market; Murano, the museum of glassblowers; and Torcello.
On the island of Lido, enjoy the beaches of the Adriatic Sea to bathe in its warm waters!
Are the districts of Venice overcrowded ? Try to get to the mainland, especially to Mestre. In addition, this can be a good alternative when finding accommodation
