«The language – Castilian, Spanish –  becomes for us like a liquor that we savor, and which we can no longer do without. Dispense in the rehearsal, in search of all its hiding places, all its possibilities, all its purities. We are already, with so much drinking of this liquor, drunk on the language ». – Azorín (1873-1967), writer of the generation of 98.

Aquestion that we usually ask ourselves a lot is: what reasons are there to learn the Spanish language or Spanish as a foreign language?
One of the reasons is that there are many Spanish-speaking countries  around the world, which represent the 577 million people who speak Spanish worldwide , thus ranking as the second language in the world by the number of people who speak it as their mother tongue. .
This number of speakers does not stop growing, a fact that is reflected in the ELE exams: every time we find a greater variety of exams: DELE, SIELE, etc., and more students interested in obtaining this type of certifications.
According to a report prepared by the Cervantes Institute on the occasion of El Día E, a total of 21 million people study Spanish as a foreign language around the world, representing an increase of almost 1.5 million compared to 2014.
