    WHEN IT SNOWS: 4 ACTIVITIES TO DO WITH YOUR LITTLE ONES

    Our little ones really love playing, rolling around and throwing themselves in the snow, but don’t worry for low temperatures, just a few tricks are enough to protect them from the cold. WHEN IT SNOWS: 4 ACTIVITIES TO DO WITH YOUR LITTLE ONES

    Below we propose 4 activities to do with your little boy or girl in the snow , easy to do at home or on holiday in the mountains.

    The Igloo

    igloo

    How about building a real igloo together with your boy or girl ? Equipped with lanterns, your little ones can invite their friends and enjoy excellent hot chocolates with them!

    Method:

    • Get some plastic boxes and fill them with snow. Compact the snow, in this way you will form bricks which you will then arrange in a circle.
    • Then add a second layer by narrowing the circle a little. Keep adding more layers of bricks in ever-tighter circles until the walls meet at the top.
    • Fill any holes with snow and if you can’t get the walls on top to line up, you can create the roof with wood or plywood.

    The Granitas

    Prepare delicious granitas with your little ones! You can really eat them, garnish them with what you prefer and serve them in a glass of ice.

    Method:

    • Take a pack of blackberries, raspberries or strawberries
    • Collect clean, freshly fallen snow in a bowl, mix it with the fruit and add a little sugar and cream if necessary.

    The Snow Animals

    snow animal sculptures

    Let the children give free rein to their imagination, creating sculptures in the shape of an animal in the snow.

    Model a snow shape together and transform it into an animal by adding stones or sticks to create the decorations. You can be inspired by the farm and create an enclosure with animals, or by the savannah or the forest.

    The Maze

    Create a small and compact snowball with your children and roll it until it becomes a giant ball.

    How to do:

    1. Look for a large, snow-covered meadow;
    2. Start from one corner and roll the ball by moving it from side to side so that it collects as much snow as possible;
    3. Behind you will appear a path of grass that you can walk on without a trace;
    4. Keep walking changing direction every now and then so as to form a real labyrinth.

    This activity can be done when the snow is sticky.
