Within the group of road works, one of the most important is the one related to winter roads. It is of great importance within the  conservation of roads  due to the amount of resources used for such actions. These actions are intended to keep the roads located in areas prone to frost and snowfall in good conditions of circulation, safety and comfort during the winter period, limiting to a minimum the time in which, as a result of said inclement weather, restrictions have to be established or exceptionally close to traffic.

SEAS teaches the  Winter Road Maintenance Course  so that you can know and be up to date with actions, concepts, machinery, meteorological phenomena and facilities related to winter road maintenance.

Thanks to the experience in the sector of our teachers, the personalized follow-up by the course tutors and the practical exercises that are proposed, you will be able to achieve at the end of the course the objective of carrying out a complete Winter Road Operation Plan for a sector of roads .

You will learn to:

  • Know the types of fluxes and their field of application
  • Know the machinery and facilities for the Winter Road
  • Prepare a Winter Road Operation Plan for a road sector

This course is carried out with the collaboration of the  College of Civil Engineers, Channels and Ports  of Aragon.

With this course you will be able to train to work in:

  • Responsibility positions in road maintenance centers

San Jorge University degree: Winter Road Maintenance Course

Upon successful completion of the course, you will obtain a degree in Road Maintenance Winter Road Course  issued by  Universidad San Jorge  (6 ECTS credits).

previous requirements

To access one of our  Technical Courses  , one of the following requirements must be met:

  • Being over 18 years

In this case, the title of Technical Course is issued indicating the content and duration of the study in hours. It does not award ECTS.

Or meet one of the following requirements:

  • Be in possession of the Bachelor’s degree or declared equivalent. Also graduates in European Baccalaureate and International Baccalaureate, or equivalent to baccalaureate degrees from educational systems of member states of the European Union or other non-member states
  • Be in possession of a qualification of Superior Technician of Professional Training, or of Superior Technician in Plastic Arts and Design or Superior Sports Technician
  • Be over 25 years of age with at least 1 year of accredited professional experience related to the content of the training
  • Be a university graduate

In any of these cases, the title of Technical Course is issued indicating the content, duration in hours of study and ECTS credits awarded.
