Zoom recorder | Everything you need to know about it
The Zoom app has two ways to record: Local and the Cloud. Cloud recording to record Zoom and or online storage allows, and audio transcription includes options. For sharing recorded files can be uploaded to other cloud storage or services, like Google Drive, Box, YouTube, or Sakai. Through a web, link Cloud recording can be shared directly.
- Participants must be allowed to record by the Host
- On Cloud recording, audio Transcription is only available.
- For all local and cloud recorded content Box is recommended for the long term.
By running a meeting with only oneself Zoom can also be a simple lecture capture, as a typical meeting or class which shares the screen. Including host voice narration all meeting activities, screen sharing will be captured and saved.

Local and Cloud Recording Settings:
- Under your Zoom profile Enable local and cloud recording. Additional features and options only Cloud recording has.
- Cloud recording setting Enable additional optional
Start Recording:
- On the toolbar click the record button to begin recording. Both options will appear if both local and could recordings are enabled. Selecting record will begin record immediately if only one method.
- To all meeting members while recording a notice is displayed.
- To record indicator Pause/Stop the recording with Toolbar controls or mouseover.
- A message will appear when stopped
Local Recording:
On the appear when the meeting ends, a converting meeting recording window indicates processing. You can see the default folders or change the location when completed.
Following file by default in a Zoom folder begging, all recordings will be placed.
- PC: C:\User\User Name\Documents\Zoom
- Mac: /User/User Name/Documents/Zoom
Cloud recording:
For all paid subscribers cloud recording is automatically enabled. If you want to record a meeting choose record Cloud THE Chat text, video, and Audio are recorded in Zoom Cloud.
- A message will appear after stopping recording.
- Under Zoom profile, you can find your recording in the cloud function.
Recording:
- Automatic Recording: In Setting enable in Meeting options or set as default.
- Participant Recording: To record meetings Hosts must allow participants, cannot record a meeting participant automatically.
- In the manage Participants panel> More > Allow record to allow a Participant to record.
- From the participant option menu OR the Gallery view.
- Recording Consent: For participants, a recording consent acknowledgment prompt, in the Host’s setting can be enabled.

To listen to your recording through the app:
- Firstly you open the Zoom app
- Then Tab on Meeting
- On the Recorded tab click on it
- Next, your recorded list will display
- The recordings you can listen directly through the app, listen to just the audio, to the file location open the recording.
Your screen record in Zoom meeting?
To the host recording setting, anyone can record, only one other can record including the host deciding. You can record any screen share of any user. To display a window they have chosen to share their screen, but that also doesn’t technically mean their screen is recorded.
How long are Zoom recordings stored?
If you do record the call if you are hosting a Zoom meeting, for 28 days your call is kept in the Zoom recorder then deleted. During this time the host downloads the recording.
