Determine the student’s goals in private lessons for adults
It is very important to trust the teacher.
The school support at home begins with a first meeting, a meeting between two people: the tutor and student.
This first meeting will allow to determine the objectives of the apprentice and to meet and confront each other the two parties involved.
The session is not for a learning purpose, it is purely conversational. Its objective is to promote communication between teacher and student .
Thus, during the first appointment, the teacher will ask some questions of the type:

Are you preparing for some competitive examinations (administrative competitions, teaching competitions, preparation of the MIR …)?
How much time do you have? In other words, do you need an intensive course?
Do you need to get a certain grade for a classification?
Where do you prefer to work? Classes at home, at the workplace, at the library …?
Of course, depending on the subject that the adult student wants for the home support classes , the questions may be more or less precise and appropriate for the math classes, French classes or Spanish classes.
At the end of the first meeting and in accordance with the student’s objectives, the teacher will set a schedule and define the recommended number of hours so that the student can evolve according to the student’s work.
