Derive files are protected by AES256 OR AES128, the same security protocol use on other Google services.

If you get started your Google Drive, you need to b Google account first. I will guide you on how to create a google account.

Google deriver On PC:

• Go to the site derive.google.com
• Scroll down on the bottom of page. Under the “download column” click on “Derive for Mac/PC”.
• A new tab will open. For the individual banner” next click” on Download.
• For a pop-up window will appear. Click on the “Agree and Download”
• A programme “installbackupansync.exe” will begin to download.
• Click on the programme, it begin installing once it has finished downloading.
• Once the installation is complete close the pop-up window.
• Google derive should appear on your desktop.
• A window called welcome to backup and sync and click on the “Get started” button.
• Next type your Gmail address click Next, then type your Gmail password, click on finish
• Select upload quality and file size, when you finished, click Next.
• Set your Google Derive syncing preference. You can sync the entirety of your computer to google derive, or select specific folder. Then click “start”.
• When your Google drive is downloading to your desktop, you can see shortcut of Google drive, Google sheets and Google slides.
