The P40 model , from the Huawei company , is a device that renews the well-known P series of the Asian firm. The smartphone arrives ready to enhance the benefits of its predecessors, and win with all its range competitors in the market.

The phone comes in a simple box rectangular in white . Without an image of the device of any kind, it only indicates on the front of the packaging the brand and model of the product. At the base of the box a sticker informs you of some details of the terminal and the hardware it carries.

Battery, operating system and connectivity

The Huawei P40 has a tight 3,800 mAh capacity battery . Although the manufacturer could have stretched more in this detail, the fact of combining a 6-inch screen, the energy efficiency of the CPU and the intervention of AI in the consumption, guarantees us a reasonable autonomy. The phone is also compatible with the Huawei SuperCharge system that revives the battery in a few minutes.

This terminal that does not have Google services in its system. The EMUI 10.1 software , based on Android 10 , works fast and responds very quickly, but it has few pre-installed apps , lacking many of the popular ones on any Android phone .

AppGallery is Huawei’s application store, where there are more and more tools available, but there are not Google’s or some Android user tools.

On the contrary, we enjoy a device with excellent connectivity. Of the latest generation, it offers us high speed , with WiFi 802.11b / g / n / a / ac / ax , and Bluetooth 5.1 , in the wireless options and USB type C for the cable ones. Of course, without forgetting that in the network we will have 5G .

After passing through our hands, it is clear to us that the Huawei P40 is a mobile phone with excellent performance and enormous potential. Apart from the price it has, the biggest obstacle we find is the absence of Google services and applications . However, we understand that this has an easy solution in time. The quality and performance of the Huawei P40 deserves no less than our Gizlogic Gold Award .
