The Electrics Sounds Products (ESP) company was founded in 1975 in Japan under the leadership of its founder Hisatake Shibuya.
Initially specialized in spare parts for guitars, the Japanese master manufacturer went on to manufacture his own string instruments and settled in the United States, where he would reap his greatest successes.
He specialized in making high-end and original shaped electric guitars for a clientele of professional musicians, notably Metallica, Slayer or even Rammstein.
In the 1990s, he created a subsidiary of ESP (LTD), which would take care of the production of more affordable guitars, without neglecting quality.
