What qualities are necessary to teach tutoring classes?

We don’t want to discourage you, but we have to be honest:  to be a private teacher you have to have many skills .
Obviously, there are academic faculties that any teacher must have : a good knowledge of the subject that is taught (or subjects in the case of primary school) and all its subtleties.
To this must be added  a good ability to transmit knowledge and to clearly explain the most difficult concepts. Mission impossible if you don’t have patience!
Punctuality and organization are essential for serious and productive work. Any delay or oversight can cost you a student!
Unlike an official teacher, private teachers are sought to be specialists in school reinforcement with eminent human qualities. Listening is the basis of teaching. You also have to have a good adaptability.
Afterwards, do not have any illusions. Sometimes the teacher and the student do not fit in well and you have to resign yourself: each one has their preferences! What qualities are necessary to teach tutoring classes?
