WWE RAW RESULTS : April 4th 2023
On the April 4th 2023 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw fans were treated to a night of high octane action intense rivalries and shocking surprises. From the opening segment to the main event there was never a dull moment as WWE s top stars clashed in the ring and on the microphone. Let s take a look at the highlights and key moments from the show.
Opening Segment:
The show began with WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns making his way to the ring to a chorus of boos from the crowd. Reigns flanked by his cousins The Usos boasted about his recent victories and declared that he was the true head of the WWE family. This brought out former Universal Champion Seth Rollins who reminded Reigns that he had beaten him before and was ready to do it again. The two exchanged heated words setting the stage for a potential title match down the line.
Match 1: Drew McIntyre vs. AJ Styles
The first match of the night pitted former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre against the Phenomenal One AJ Styles. This was a hard hitting back and forth battle that showcased both men s in ring skills. After a series of near falls and high risk maneuvers McIntyre hit the Claymore Kick for the victory.
Backstage Segment:
After the match McIntyre was interviewed backstage by WWE correspondent Kayla Braxton. He spoke about his desire to once again become WWE Champion and promised that he would stop at nothing to achieve that goal.
Match 2: The New Day vs. The Hurt Business Up next
was a tag team match between the New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) and the Hurt Business (Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin). This was a hard hitting and fast paced encounter that saw both teams give it their all. In the end it was the New Day who emerged victorious with Kingston hitting Trouble in Paradise on Benjamin for the win.
Backstage Segment:
After the match the Hurt Business was seen arguing backstage. Lashley and Benjamin blamed each other for the loss while Cedric Alexander tried to play peacemaker. The tension between the group seemed to be growing.
Match 3: Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley
In one of the night s marquee matches Charlotte Flair faced off against Rhea Ripley in a non title match. This was a brutal affair that saw both women deliver punishing strikes and high flying moves. In the end it was Flair who emerged victorious hitting Ripley with Natural Selection for the win.
Backstage Segment:
After the match Flair was interviewed by Kayla Braxton. She spoke about her desire to once again become Raw Women s Champion and vowed to stop at nothing to get there.
Match 4: Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn
The next match saw longtime rivals Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn face off in a grudge match. This was a hard hitting and intense encounter that saw both men pull out all the stops. In the end it was Owens who emerged victorious hitting the Stunner on Zayn for the win.

After the match Owens was seen backstage celebrating with his friends and family. He spoke about his desire to once again become Universal Champion and promised that he would do whatever it takes to get there.
Match 5: The Miz vs. Damian Priest
The final match of the night saw The Miz take on rising star Damian Priest. This was a hard fought battle that saw both men deliver punishing strikes and high flying moves. In the end it was Priest who emerged victorious hitting Miz with Hit the Lights for the win
