How to pass the CILS and CELI in Italian?
“He who does not know foreign languages knows nothing of his own.” Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
From a linguistic perspective, taking aptitude tests is usually a good idea, because it will also allow you to get an idea of your level or to realize that you are almost bilingual already. In the case of Italian, there are several exams you can take, although the two main ones are the CILS ( Certificazione di Italiano come Lingua Straniera or Certification of Italian as a Foreign Language, in Spanish) and the CELI ( Certificato di conoscenza della Lingua Italiana o Certificate of knowledge of the Italian Language, in Spanish).
The CILS is a certificate recognized by the Italian state that allows students to demonstrate their level of Italian. This test was born in the 16th century and is divided into four levels , depending on the student’s abilities and the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages . The CELI is also a certificate of Italian skills, but it has six levels (from A1 to C2) . Both are titles that can lead you to bilingualism if you try hard enough with this wonderful language. Of course, keep in mind that, in order to enroll in the Italian university without passing the admission test, you will have to have reached the levelCELI 3 .
Both Italian certificates are quality tests , which will open professional, university and personal doors for you. You can study and review for these exams independently , without pressure, and demonstrate your skills without spending so much money. Who said that learning a language is difficult or expensive?
