What is the rate for a Russian class based on your location?
Learning Russian in Madrid does not cost the same as learning Russian online through Skype or in a rural area.
Again, it’s about looking at the prices charged by the competition in order to get an idea of the average hourly rate in your city.
If you don’t, you run the risk of being more expensive than a language school or other Russian teachers who teach at home.
Do not hesitate to consult the prices of the language schools and associations around you to calculate the correct price. In general, a private teacher earns less money than a language school.
To help you a bit, here are the average prices charged at Superprof in the ten largest cities in Spain for a Russian class :
- Madrid: € 20 per hour
- Barcelona: € 19 per hour
- Valencia: € 15 per hour
- Seville: € 15 per hour
- Zaragoza: € 15 per hour
- Granada: € 13 per hour
- Malaga: € 12 per hour
- Salamanca: € 10 per hour
- Alicante: € 16 per hour
- Toledo: € 14 per hour.
The price in smaller cities does not have to be lower, since you will have to add the cost of transport, which is often more expensive in rural areas.
