Artificial Vision Course
Know the technologies and tools used in artificial vision
description
The artificial vision initially used in industry and quality system of production, but its rapid development has made possible to use in metrology and measurement method , with accuracies below one tenth of a millimeter, or even used to obtain the 3D model of the examined object. Currently, thanks to artificial vision, it is possible to guide robots that operate or capture moving parts without having to stop the chain that transports them.
The approach of the Artificial Vision Course offered by SEAS is eminently practical, fully addressing artificial vision in a modern way. They will study from the different technologies, lighting, cameras, optics, or a variety of capture hardware, to the different types of software that exist. Although the best-known applications of machine vision are often in industry, it has numerous scientific, medical, security, and surveillance applications.
With this computer vision course you will learn to analyze images and videos to obtain data that can be used directly, stored, compared with others to perform actions in real time, or process them to build virtual 3D models
course objectives: Artificial Vision Course
You will learn to:
- Have a general knowledge of artificial vision and its possibilities
- Know the different types of lighting, and have enough knowledge to make a proper selection of it
- Select the most suitable lens based on optical criteria, field of vision, distance between camera and object, size and quality of the camera sensor, depth of field, resolution, etc.
- Know the artificial vision cameras and the special characteristics that other cameras do not have, being able to select them based on their shutter, integration, pixel clock, asynchronous capture, Synchronization, etc.
- Know how to select the capture plate (frame grabbers) and its most appropriate characteristics
- Choose the most suitable artificial vision solutions and implement them for optimal operation, taking into account the different existing technologies
- Know an overview of the current types of software practicing with two different types of artificial vision software
