To be able to present yourself to the National Police examinations you must
- Have Spanish nationality and be of legal age (between 18 and 65 years old ).
- Have as minimum studies the Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and the B driving license .
- Not be disqualified from working in the public administration or convicted of malicious crimes .
- Not suffer from any physical or mental limitation that impede your functional or operational capacities to perform as a National Police.
In addition, you must acquire the commitment to carry weapons and measure at least 1.65 meters (man) and 1.60 (woman).
Tests to be a national policeman
To get a permanent position as a national police officer, you must pass the competitive examination session, which consists of 4 tests:

- Written knowledge tests
- Psychotechnical test and personal interview
- Medical examination

In order to take the national police tests, you will have to meet the following requirements:
- Have Spanish nationality and be of legal age.
