What expectations are there in 1st grade mathematics from the other high schools?

Mathematics is unavoidable in 1st year of Baccalaureate of Science, no one doubts that. But what about the other types of high school? How is mathematics in the rest of the high schools ?

It is important to know the mathematics program well to  choose properly according to your professional project  and personality. So, should we continue studying mathematics in the other high schools?

In the Baccalaureate of Humanities it is not compulsory to study mathematics, but that does not mean that they have disappeared completely. Some Literature students continue to learn new notions about functions or geometry by choosing  mathematics as an elective . It is an excellent way to continue the learning of mathematics in a branch that does not favor this type of subjects. But what use can it be?

Pass high school math
Some professions require artistic and scientific skills.

Some professions require both literary and mathematical skills. This may be the case for teachers or architects. Choosing the math option also gives you the opportunity to study science after high school.

In the Baccalaureate of Social Studies, mathematics is still required  for all students. Thanks to these lessons, students deepen the notions seen in previous years and prepare for the 2nd year of high school program.

Percentages, trinomials, generalities about functions, derivatives, sequences, reference functions, statistics, binomial law and sampling fluctuations, probability and random variables… The math program is dense!

Algebra, affine function, inequalities, mental arithmetic… Feel free to take private math classes at home, help with homework or intensive courses to carry out math exercises with a math teacher. What expectations are there in 1st grade mathematics from the other high schools?
